It Seems Everyone Else Stopped at Sharing to One Screen. We Share to Millions.

KLIK was founded in 2015 with Wireless Screen Sharing at the center of our product roadmap. As with other innovations, we were solving a problem we had direct experience (and frustration) with. Other brands have joined the category in the ensuing decade, but it appears that many (most, all?) stopped at just one screen.

With KLIK, things are very, very different.

Of course we support sharing to one big screen if that's all you need. KLIK allows up to four content sources to be displayed at one time on screen, in a split-screen layout. Since KLIK is compatible with 4K UHD screens, each of the 4 displayed screens are each in full HD. So, multiple content sources can be displayed together, or any one of those sources can be pushed to fill the whole screen, for a closer look.

What's very different about KLIK's method of split-screen sharing is just how all of those content sources can be controlled. One method is to use the KLIKConnect app in Moderator mode. The moderator can preview a user's content, then push it to the screen right from the app. They can also maximize any shared content to the whole screen, and back again, from the app.

But KLIK doesn’t stop there. Content preview and control can also be managed right from the screen. For installations using a touch display, the moderator simply taps on either side of the screen to open thumbnail views of all connected user content, then tap to select, maximize, and stop content shares. No touch display? No problem, use a mouse, keyboard presentation remote or graphics tablet. In other words, any HID compatible device will do the trick.

But we’re still stuck on one screen, aren’t we? No, we are not, because KLIK also offers three additional ways to share content to even more screens.

KLIK includes a feature we call KLIKStream; the ability to share what is displayed on the big screen to every member of the audience, right on their own device. Audience members simply open a web page and watch the presentation on their own smartphone, tablet, or PC. Better yet, KLIKStream includes a screen capture function that makes it super-easy to take snapshots of the shared content, for later review.

KLIK also allows users to share content to multiple KLIK-equipped screens with its Multicast feature. So users can share their content to one, two, or as many screens are assigned to the space. And all of the people sharing can do so to any combination of screens they want, allowing for a novel mix of content on each screen. This is not only a boon to active learning environments, it’s a complete game-changer in every facility with multiple screens.

While both of the first two methods allow content to be shared to multiple screens, it is important to recognize that some (many?) interested parties may be located in different places and time zones. That’s where KLIK’s Live Streaming capabilities come into play. With just one click users can initiate a streaming session to a favored platform (YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch, etc.) or to multiple platforms simultaneously. Viewers can watch in real time or time-shift the material and watch at their convenience.

There are many other features that are unique to KLIK and make its inclusion in any collaboration setting a must. Features that include the ability to capture live video and audio that can be live streamed to remote viewers. Or annotation and whiteboarding that is integrated into the KLIK hardware so it is visible on all of the shared screens. The best way to learn about all of these features is to participate in a free, live demonstration of KLIK by our team.
